According to Middletown police, 6-year-old James is still missing. They believe he was murdered by his own mother and then placed into the Ohio River. The community has responded to the tragedy with vigils and balloon releases, and now, people are working to create a permanent memorial to honor James.

Photo / Peter Frost Wanganui Midweek In mid-March, two large timber structures were erected at Tapuarau Lagoon in the Waitotara Conservation Area, just inland from the mouth of the Waitotara River. Constructed from heavy, 3m long, old wharf piles, and connected by joists of eucalyptus, they were built by MacBlack Timber in Whanganui, then taken to Tapuarau in kitset form and reassembled.
